Do you love students?  Do you have a passion for seeing students grow?  Do you long to be challenged in a brand new way?  Whether you have been to a Worldview Academy camp before or not, this is a tremendous opportunity for you to serve students all across the country.

How old must I be to apply to be on staff?

If you are at least 16 years of age, you can apply to serve with Worldview Academy as a staff member. However, if you are only 16, you will be limited to working one week of camp with us and co-leading a group with one of our full-time and experienced staff members. There is no age limit when it comes to serving on our staff team.

Do I have to have been a student at Worldview Academy to be on staff?

Although many of our staff have been students at Worldview Academy, it is not a requirement in order to serve on staff.

How many camps do I apply for?

We would encourage you to apply for as many weeks of camp as you are available for. We hire staff to serve with us anywhere from one week, to the entire summer.  To gain the full experience of spending a summer on staff with Worldview Academy we highly recommend applying for the entire summer.

With regards to which camps to apply for, we encourage all applicants to mark the region of their preference. However, we do not guarantee the preference. We also do not typically hire staff to work multiple regions so all applicants should only apply for camps within one region.

What are the requirements in order to apply to be on staff?

There really are not a set of requirements that are necessary to be accepted as a staff member with Worldview Academy. We really seek out the best team of individuals who we feel will best complement the Worldview Academy program. However, our staff must all be disciples of Jesus Christ and seeking to live a life that pleases and honors Him.

What does the hiring process look like?

Once we have decided upon our staff teams for the summer, all potential staff must then complete a successful background check as well as sign a contract with the service dates the individual has been hired for. Once all the paperwork is in we will then tackle the remainder of the logistics necessary to prepare for our week of staff training the first week of June.

What does it cost to be on staff with Worldview Academy?

There is not a fee to serve with Worldview Academy as there are with many other ministries. We would ask if possible for our staff to cover their own travel to staff training in Oklahoma, but that is not a requirement just a way our staff can bless the ministry. Once our staff arrive at staff training, we cover all room and board both during the week and on weekends. Really the only cost not covered by Worldview Academy are incidentals like snacks for road trips or other small items.

What are the general responsibilities and duties of the staff?

There are many responsibilities that our staff have but the two primary ones are leading a small group and then also helping in the daily running of camp. First with regard to small groups, our staff are given a group of students the same gender as themselves to lead each week. Small groups meet several times each day to dissect and discuss the topics and events of the day. Even beyond that, our staff are there to care for and love on the specific students in their small group for the week.

Secondly, when it comes to the general running of camp this can include much or include little. As a team we will set up and take down camp each week as we move from camp location to camp location. This at times involves a high amount of work and at other times it involves little setup. Whichever the case is on a particular campus, our staff teams are instrumental in the daily running of camp.
